Introduction to CAN BUS Systems
Duration: 2 Days
This course is specifically designed towards a technician that needs to understand the modern vehicle fitted with a CAN-BUS communication system. Most vehicles are now fitted with some type of communication system and this can, if not understood, cause incorrect diagnosis of vehicle faults.
Different types of CAN communication with protocols will be unravelled from the simple 16pin DLC connector to the high speed systems fitted for engine management and ABS communication.
Extensive practical sessions will be used throughout the course with on-vehicle testing to back up the theory.
On completion of the course the delegate will feel competent and confident to identify, test and diagnose CAN-BUS systems found on all modern vehicles.
A good understanding of electrical circuits and testing prior to attending will enable the delegate to absorb more of this course’s content. Attending our Ei1 course will help.
